Clay hate to be the one to say it but all of Cornwell's Blue Power line is all made in Taiwan. I personally have the USA made flip sockets they are great. My Dealer was upfront with me when I started buying from them that there is two sides to the tools, USA Cornwell tools and Taiwan Bluepower tools.

Wikipedia is not official Cornwell information ... Blu Power is the Cornwell sub-brand ... of course it is foreign made, just like a lot of Snap-on's Blue-Point, Mac's Expert and Matco's Silver Eagle. $31 is the tool truck premium price, not the American made premium price. Also, just as an FYI, the Blue-Point 3 piece flip socket set (extension sold separately) is about $85 and is USA made. That is the tool truck and USA made premium price

I was a Cornwell tool dealer for about 16 years. That statement is correct, Cornwell is one of two companies still manufacturing their own hardline product. Still, in order to be competitive it is necessary to offer product at a lower price point. Just like every other tool truck on the market. If you are so disappointed in this, why not just return them to your dealer and order USA made set? Was it really necessary to try to diminish the reputation of a good tool company?

I had no idea Cornwell made stuff in Albion which is like 25 min drive from where I live in Erie pa. I’m also close to Channellock in meadville pa bout 45 to get there.

Koon Trucking just like every other mobile company CQT has it's main line and their secondary line. Blue Power is CQT secondary line which is made over seas. If you would like to purchase a USA made flip socket set form CQT the part # is STLN3ST. The USA price made in America is 109.00. I am sure Mr. Joe can get them for you.

I love your videos, but come one. Everyone knows the cheaper version of tools on the tool truck are made over seas. Blue point, blue power, xpert. Yes, cornwell and snapon are the only 2 left that make their tools in house still (or at least a large portion of them). This obviously does not include their cheaper lines. Why do you think they are cheaper?

My Mac guy tried to warranty my USA made torx for some crappy taiwan torx. I told him I didn't want that junk and he had to order me the correct USA replacement.

I think the Blue Power series by Cornwall are manufactured solely in Taiwan. I have a set of swivel sockets by Cornwell (Blue Power) they’re all manufactured in Taiwan.

Almost every flip socket set I have seen have been from Taiwan. Just checked Blue Point that I thought was Taiwan, but it does say the COO is USA.

My first experience with a tool truck was a Cornell dealer wayyy back when I was starting to cut my teeth wrenching @ the Hyster dealer. The guy Rich was a great guy, would get you whatever you wanted. However, he sold the route about 2 years later and retired. I invested probably around 5 grand on hand tools and the only functioning ones I have left are impact sockets 1/2 and 3/8. They are great, USA stamped and work fine today.(15 years later) the rest of the stuff is junk, ratchets, hex bits all broken. The dealer stopped showing up and who knows where he went. I haven’t seen a dealer since. I haven’t found the motivation to mail them in either for warranty. Went to snap on and haven’t turned back.

The Sunex 2724 set appears identical to this set. The Sunex set averages $30. Most likely the same thing with exception of the case color.

Didnt Sears try that route with their Craftsman tool line in the early 2000’s?
How’d that work out for them?? They took a great American made name and tarnished it for life.

Well an Impact socket isn’t exactly a hand tool is it?

I’ve been trying to buy a Cornwell air hammer sledge socket for two weeks. They list prices on their website yet you can’t order from there. I don’t have a truck within hundreds of miles from me and they literally can’t seem to find away to sell me one. Probably explains why I don’t know anyone that owns Cornwell. They really don’t wanna sell tools it looks to me🤷‍♂️
