Dr. Gilligan is Associate Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences and an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He is director of Vanderbilt's interdisciplinary Grand Challenge Initiative on Climate and Society and a member of the Vanderbilt Institute for Energy and Environment, the Vanderbilt Initiative on Smart-City Operations Research, and the Computational Thinking and Learning Initiative.
