I worked in the bolt making operation at Ford for about ten years. Before I retired the company had purchased "high speed" boltmakers and punched out several hundred a minute. The machines ran so loud they had sound proof rooms!

FYI
The correct term for the machine that makes the bolt blank is a cold header. Just from the video it looks like the machine is a National Cold Header.
One feature you neglected to explain was when the wire is being drawn through the sizing rollers and the diameter is slightly reduced this increases the tensile strength of the wire.

I made millions of A325 3/4 cap screws working at Bethleham steel for 10 years also ran the Biggest cold bolt machine in the USA--it was a 1-1/2 machine .

"Wire is made of alloy of cold hard steel and carbon..." Steel is literally an alloy of iron and carbon. Steel plus even more carbon just gets another name: cast iron.

What a nice share of how these bolts are actually made. Heat treat is good that way you can get Grade 5 and Grade 8 bolts here the best, because well, we are tough with our machine shop bolts, we just are always tightening and loosening bolts all the time.

Ran National boltmakers for 23 years but we made more complex automotive fasteners and ballstuds and suspension fasteners called flange head bolts. Hex heads were a rarity.

This kid at work couldn't find a bolt the right length so I told him to check out the bolt stretcher from the parts crib and get a quart of ID10T oil to use with the machine. He came back an hour later all pushed and all of us were laughing about it. Next i'm gonna have him get some spots for the spot welder... maybe a new bubble for my bubble level too!😂🤣😃
