I'm gonna miss these videos. Watching Mr. Demko hack through a bull femur with an indestructible sharpend carbon steel pry bar was the perfect way to start my day. That friggin machete bends with every hit and springs back. 1055 just makes me feel so safe, like no shrapnel is gonna break off and fly at my face. the half of the blade that snapped off while trying to do heavy chopping with budget stainless just found my head, and goodbye eye. 1055 would never do that.

How much edge damage did it take chopping that bone? Would be more convincing to show a closeup of the blade edge and do paper slice test after the proof tests where you cut through bone of any kind.

so this Jungle machete is spring-tempered but the other machetes from Cold Steel (kukri machetes, thai machete, latin machetes) are not?

can you over clean a cold steel blade? i bought the gladius machete about 10 months ago and regularly hone and polish the blade also like to keep a coating of wd40 polished into the blade

What do you do to get your knives so sharp? And do you sell a kit?

I am just going to throw this out here, I know it's part of the cold steel deal that with everything you sell you have a video of whatever the item is in action, but for this one, wouldn't it have both been a lot cheaper AND a lot more functional to take it for a walk through some dense forest than to buy pork bellies and grass mats?  I want to know how this would do for clearing vegetation on the way to some secluded area of river I found that hasn't been fished in a hundred years.  If I want to chop pigs in half there are much better weapons...

cold steel machetes are now made in china, poor quality compared to south africa made machetes.
