It’s honestly a perfect way to cut cake for a party, I’ve seen a lot of people eat only like a third of their slice so this would lead to less waste, and anyone who wants more can just grab another piece

This is actually a very popular way to cut Turkish baklava. It looks so cool when you have a giant round tray of baklava and you cut it this way and it looks like a flower!

I think it would be fair to tell people that you can only do this effectively for cakes that are pretty dense.
And don’t have a ton of layers of varying viscosity. Works well for a mud cake or fruit cake, maybe not so great for your mousse cake or multi-layered cakes with fresh fruit or soft buttercreams.

I actually like this. People complaining the slices are too small but that’s a good thing. People who just want a little (or kids) can have one, if you want more than that just get two or three.
