DJI Air 3S Unboxing Leak + Sensor Confirmed!

I was hoping for dual 1 inch sensor. I skipped the air 3 due to sensor size, and looks like I might be skipping the air3s. Was hoping for more of an upgrade like between the air2 and air2s. Maybe they have some amazing hidden feature we don’t know about, but 2 different sensors in same drone is dumb. I thought maybe the understood that after the mavic 3 pro, but I guess not.

I was stuck between the Mav classic and the Air 3 but decided to wait on the new Air 3S release. I was also hoping for dual one inch sensors on both cameras, but the fact that it's only on the wide angle won't be a deal breaker for me. There could be something happening on the 15th of this month over on the DJI website. I have no idea if this will be the official announcement of the Air 3S or maybe something else. Personally, though, I think the Air 3S is going to be a big hit.

why didnt Dji keep the sensor size and camera from the air2s? 1-inch sensor and Hasselblad camera. Very confusing!

Most disappointed about the 24 mm lens, actually. My workhorse is the Air2S and was hoping the 3S would have a 20 or 22mm main lens.

50mp is crazy high. wish there was aperture control but the dlogm only isnt an issue for me as i use dlogm these days over dlog. but all in all i'm getting this and selling me mav 3 classic finally

I was really looking forward to this drone, but now will just keep my Air 3 and Wait to see what DJI will bring to the Mavic 4 Pro. Im also not seeing 14 stops of dynamic range on the Air 3S. I also wish DJI would have added variable aperture then perhaps I would upgrade from my Air what I do with my drones the 1" sensor will not make a huge difference.

Thanks for the update...DJI is grasping at straws. Not giving two 1" sensors is a waste of my money. Total joke in my opinion. I have the MAVIC 3 Pro so I 'already' have this drone. I was hoping for the 70mm to be a 1" sensor and then...maybe...I might be tempted to purchase. NOW??? No way.

Looks like you were pretty far off in your guess of the specs for the Air 3S. If it had dual 1" sensors and variable aperture that you were assuming it would have sold like crazy but would have taken some sales from the upcoming Mavic 4.

Really great update. Pretty much what I suspected. I do wonder if they are going to use the 1 inch sony sensor. It is an excellent sensor.

The one I am really interested in seeing is the Mavic 4.

Stop saying that other sensor is 48mp. It's a 12MP sensor. Cell phones play that same game. So misleading.

All these pixel on s7ch tiny sensor is such a waste of resources etc. I hope we don't get the same problem like the low bitrate action 5. They are using so much trick to compensate for their sensors and megapixel that the images look fake.

Looks like they’re trying to offload as much as they can leading into an Air 3S launch.
