Question, why cant you just use Ecuflash for reading and writing the ROM to the ECU?

So you use mmc to copy the rom file then use ecuflash to open the rom file edit the factory rom then use mmc to wright the edited rom to the ecu ? Is mmc in english ? I think the developers are russian
