Bose more complete in the low and middle range sounds, the problem with the bass can be easily solved by moving it to another surface. Home pod just an overload of high frequencies that when over the mid volume, makes a disturbing noise like a whistle and looses all the bass and middle range.

I think sound quality wise, there’s no beating the HomePod. Apple just seem to have the correct balance and the upward facing woofer prevents the distortion that Bose, Sonos etc seem to be suffering with

The Home Pod just seems fuller. The Bose sounds nice, but the Home Pod seems to fill the room more.

To my ears the HomePod had it and I am a Bose fan 🤭

We all got different sound needs. Personally the HomePod is very energetic with a boost in highs. And a boost in the high bass and mid bass... the Bose sounds way better in the mid range. And the Bose also sounds better in the treble area. More laid back but also full of detail. Bose wins but no by much

More separation and dynamics with the Bose, more punch and fullness with HomePod. Depends on the type of music you prefer. Neither edges out as a clear winner. Tie.

HomePod definitely has a better sound, but his assistant is the difference, Alexa is the most intelligent assistant

I have both speakers, and bose sounds better.
When you turn up the volume, the bass decreases and there is no distortion.
I don't understand this video
Homepod sounds great, but not better
Some songs seem more natural on homepod.
But Bohemian rhapsody, Hotel California, Take On Me ... are best heard on Bose

It seems home pod has less distortion and sound pressure, and very smooth -balanced sound;
bose just get a little bit peaking though
Both are great home speaker, but I’ll take home pod.

Thank You for the video! This is probably a problem with the entire home line, bass farts. I bought Bose a portable home speaker and he also has this problem. I'm very much out of focus in this dynamic.

I love bose...no ones note that bose mid range is so balance...look here's a thing there's a lot of difference in having mid range good and mid range sounding forward ok..bose soundstage is so wide but the person cant note that too much because of its imagine look if a sound is thicker than u can say its soundstage is so wide with having a poor imagine..., edm wise like first track of illenium bose sounds mids forward and its not distortion but the apple seems to have small soundstage so that its high frequency (treble) is like S and T sounding which some may not prefer after some hours u will like decreasing volume..bose all line up speaker tends to make sound thicker always in simple opinion and its mids are straight forward sounding and detail also because of the whole mid range is balanced..that just my opinion if an audiophile can understand only...

Been watching quite a few YT vids looking at smart speakers and many include audio comparisons. But got to wonder is there any value in these videos. Audio recorded by a mic, of unknown capabilities, clipped and compacted by YT and downloaded to be played via a sound card. Even using quality headphones I don't see how any of this can give a true comparison of the equipment being reviewed.

Bose has the bigger sound stage. Homepod sounds like what it looks, a small speaker

Thanks for that, helped me decide, HomePod all the way 👍🏻🤙🏻

I bought the Bose, but returned it. I don't know. I didn't like the bass. I'm no audiophile. It sounded distorted and overwhelmed many complex songs. Especially at low volume. I bought the HomePod and it sounded more balanced, the bass was tighter, and better at low volumes. Also nice that it senses the environment. Sound is dependent on the surface you put the HomePod on, though, as the sound is fired downwards.
