Edit: I should mention this is AN ADULT RPG - language is not for kids.
I’m sure other games may have used this combat idea - but man it’s almost flawless here with so much nuance, a great idea! Also there is a BIG mechanic I haven’t mentioned because it’s such a fun spoiler. Let me know what you think of this one - I just ordered the physical, always a sign that I enjoyed it! i got the deluxe edition that has a steel case, a small artbook, a digital soundtrack and of course the game. i cant wait to play through it as i never played any of the games in the series before.

it hasn't been mentioned here but this game has readability issues with its fonts, especially for the shard effects descriptions and other things like book fonts and newspapers
