Classics Revisited Webinar Series: Foundations of the Metaphysics of Morals
Показать описание
Foundations of the Metaphysics of Morals is a philosophical marvel by Immanuel Kant, and it is the next classic in the Classics Revisited series. Kant outlines foundations of ethics, the guiding principles of moral theory, and asserting that they equal rational choice. His arguments separate himself from other moral philosophers with his unique thoughts about “moral rightness.” Although this book was published in 1785, it puts forth a view on moral philosophy that is still valid and worth exploring in modern day. Professor Michael Sugrue, Ph. D., will discuss Immanuel Kant’s ideas and their implications for the human experience. A live Q&A took place at the conclusion of the lecture.
