Haha Mike, I swear I wasn’t lying when we crossed paths at mile 23 :D Love this honest recap with the “I can, I will” whispers. Marathons are hard and you really gave it your everything, proud of you!

See you in Chicago in October 🏃‍♂️🔥🔥🚀

Absolutely LOVED this recap! Technical talk, gear stuff, drama, vulnerability, comedy, and friendship...all in one video.

Huge shout out to Floris and Jimmy for what they did!

FANTASTIC! Seriously man what an effort. Congrats, this is something to be celebrated for sure. To Jimmy and Flores for pushing you and being there for you at the end. You guys are amazing. One of the more inspiring things I've seen in a while.

Congratulations Michael! …and welcome to the 3hr-even-plus-change crew. I feel It’s a team of mixed feelings right? My last Marathon was 3:00:14, though I feel proud I PR’d, I’m struggling of “what if I…”? I know we all itching to leave this group. One day it will happen! Man how I wished Floris and Coach was with me on my last miles! Your last miles were really inspiring to see! Again Congratulations!🎉 👊👍

My favorite race recap yet!! Love the use of similes - "like a toddler stamping their feet" "like a donkey refusing to be pulled" lol. So much mental and physical strength, congrats!!!

“Marathon math” at mile 22 is so damn hard. It’s like calculus, but WAY harder.

Just seeing those hills got me stressed! What a terrific race effort. “I can. I will.” needs to be on the next Path-Kofuzi collab shirt. Also ❤️ the 🍍 piñata, 🦈, and esp 🦄 sightings. Floris and coach Jimmy - such great supporters! We all need friends like them.

Outstanding Mike and so close to your goal but a PR non the less so well done. Berlin has to be on your radar it’s a fantastic marathon and if you can run that hilly course in LA in just over 3 you’ll do Berlin under 3 easy. Great work 👏Ian 🇬🇧

Amazing recap…as a 65 yr.old beginner, it was awesome to hear an honest, real breakdown of a big effort. I run my 5k like you run a marathon…very similar feelings, lol. BUT, all the same, it inspires me to run for a new PR each time.

this is so helpful--thanks! I am running LA this year at 57 years old. I ran LA in 2010 when I was 44 and ran 3:00:35 (PR 2:53:33 Chicago 2009). I'm nervous about the marathon this year--the hills!!! haven't run a marathon since Berlin 2010--training has been going OK. This is great, though--congrats on your strong and impressive finish!

Getting quite emotional at your recap of the back end with Jimmy & Floris. First Marathon for me next weekend, going for 3:20. I've gone through all my positive visualisation of this pain cave and it's ringing alot of bells, only making me more excited.

Hey, great recap man! My gf & I are running LA this year for the first time & we just watched it together. FINALLY...someone talks about things worthwhile like the asphalt roads, length of hills, etc. Most recaps are just about the shots of beer along the course & the post-race food. lol Well done on a good race.
