Enjoyed the video Ryan. The Lipo woke it up. Did the same upgrade on my son’s Horizon ECX Amp buggy and added a low voltage alarm. Runs for 20+ minutes.

I just realized the battery placement on the side is part of how this boat never capsizes and doesn't need a self right feature. Very cool! 🚤💨

This boat is a blast but absolutely must be upgraded. Lipo batteries will burn out the brushed motor constantly (went through 3 replacement motors-great customer service from Horizon Hobby.) A brushless motor (with corresponding brushless esc) with 3 cell lipo is outrageously fun and this is one of the most stable boats out there. You feel confident driving it fast even without a self righting feature. I also have a Sonic wake which is awesome (fast and self righting) but this handles the chop better than most out there. Happy boating!

Just did a brushless conversion on a react 17. It can handle 3s and thats the only battery i've ran it with.

Good stuff. If its anything like my 1:1 flats boat its much faster on a slight ripple than on glass calm water. Breaks the surface tension.
