Soooo rechargeable batteries that are harder to charge

Problem 1) those have less capacity than typical alkaline batteries. Problem 2) let’s not shield the USB port. Problem 3) let’s have a nonsense and dangerous charger.

Rechargeable batteries (AA and AAA) suck tbh. This is nothing new. They've been around for 15 years at least

Those are terrible. Lithium AA need a buck converter to put out 1.5v and generally drain themselves within a few weeks.

You really need to go with NiMH for AA and AAA rechargeables unless you are doing something like an RC car where self drain isn't as important as capacity.
