Hi Nemo; another great vid...yeah, that chain is a worry....once they stretch so far, they're gonna let go. You need to get new chain and both sprockets. Hope you get it fixed soon. Looking forward to the next one...

Hey, fellow TET rider. I did Sweden and Finland in June, and Norway last year. Scandinavia is amazing for motorcycling, very unique and relaxing environment.
As for your chain problem, I can come up with 2 reasons: either the seals are broken and there's no more lube inside the rollers, or you overtighten it each time you adjust it, and it stretches when your rear suspension compresses.
For your reference, I have 23k km on my T7, and only adjusted the chain once, for a bit. I didn't lube the chain at all, and it's still going strong.

My desert x has same chain problem. I have bought a DID chain to replace it. I have only 3000 miles. I think they bought a job lot of rubbish chains…. Good luck, get the bloody bike serviced, brakes, chain. Asap….

Another contribution to a slack chain is also wear on front and rear sprockets. If they are worn or have damage then you will have to change them too, otherwise they will just rip a new chain apart.ride safe.

how many km on that ducati so far? its falling more apart than my 1991 transalp :) but i also like the ducati better of course (like every sane person ;)) enjoying your videos so far.

I have had a similar weird chain problem on my sportsbike, and I am still not sure if its the chain stretching, or maybe the adjustment mechanism going back to old settings.
Was it a DID?
