Great video. I did take this flight once, also on SIS in late 2016. I found WOW decent and it's a shame this route has been pulled as like you said, is a convenient way to get to the USA. Funny you should mention the short runway as on the way home, the WOW captain apologised to a late and hard landing due to a short runway. And yes you are correct, Bristol doesn't have a single airbridge!

Great report and I like your commentary on this and your other reports. Since you asked, I think the meal was quite fair, and even better in consideration of this being a budget airline.I probably would not have ordered that choice (much as I like falafel and chickpeas) but I can't fault them for the portion, substance and packaging. How much did the meal cost?

Awesome trip report James. Was that a WoW bike i seen in the WoW inflight magazine?.That meal looked better than all my BA meals I had last summer 🤔. I've flown into Bristol twice, first to attend a wedding in Bath one month after 9/11...most of the guests that never turned up were from California as the bride was American and the groom was British but had lived in LA since he was 18 ( My old school buddy ) and second to watch a friend run in the Exeter half marathon a couple of years later I think Back then BA had the route as you are probably or something turbo proppy? Hope everything is good?.

Great video James! Didn’t UA used to have a TATL flight from Bristol or am i just imagining this? Have been thinking about booking WOW air to the states as they have some amazing fares.. looks like you a nice flight. The pre ordered meal looks pretty good, how did it taste? Was the Icelandic beer any good?

I think being able to pre-order meals is an excellent idea, you get what you want and it's easy on the cabin crew too. As for that particular meal? Not for me. What's the (brief) backstory on why decent beers were not available in Iceland? That's weird because there are some very good Scandinavian beers like Carlsberg & Tuborg (Danish).
