I loved Type A teacher till they got in the way of:
1. Lunch
2. Recess
3. Family because they were such a stickler for rules that I couldn't contact my mom about a reminder that *the teacher themselves* said was so important to remind our parents about and I was trying to remind my mom before I forgot about it and that was the first and only time I got my stupid flip phone taken away from me lol

I tolerated the type A teachers, until they judged what our moms packed for lunch. I couldnt eat a bag of chips because they'd make me eat my fruit first 😭

This makes me just as nervous as it did as a kid. The reason I had stress indigestion as a 9 year old.

Am I wrong that I really like these teachers? Like they teach the importance of keeping spaces clean, respecting shared spaces, the importance of a clean environment and a clear mind

And overall their classes always feel like their own sanctuary that they not only protect but expect their students to protect as well as respect

I agree with most of these (I am very much not type A) but
I am still mildly salty about my teacher who decided what colors we would use for each subject on our notebooks and she picked the wrong colors
red = math (she said english)
green = science (she said math)
blue = english (she said history)
yellow = history (she said science)
I got her reasonings for some of those colors, but they were incorrect for me, personally

the smartest thing a teacher done that fixes the missing marker/glue stick lid problem is to save the lids off marker/glue sticks that are empty so they a extra lids just incase one get lost

no gonna lie i had a teacher like this. hearing her voice was like nails on a chalkboard but she was one of the best english teachers i ever had.

I was definitely a type A teacher, but after 28 years of teaching, I became a type B teacher. My last year of teaching, l was definitely a type C teacher.

As much as some of these are annoying and over the top, it’s honestly essential to setting boundaries and rules with the students. Then they know when they’re in your class, disrespect will not be tolerated

Teach kids to respect rules and properly of others, within reason this is fine, kids who don’t grow up learning this end up being that kid who is disrespectful and when they have a job they cut every corner and don’t follow any rules because it’s lame they have to do what they are being paid to do!
