BANK RUN EXPLAINED: What is a Bank Run

You might think that when you deposit a dollar in the bank, it just sits there waiting for you to come back and get it. Not exactly… banks take your money and put it to work through loans and investments. When a lot of people suddenly demand their money back, the bank may have trouble liquidating, and covering their deposits quickly enough. This is called a “Bank Run”. Economic issues are never fun, but educating yourself can help mitigate your risk!!
