I've used an AA Wireless dongle in my 2010 MX5 for well over a year. It has performed FLAWLESSLY and PERFECTLY. I never even think about it. I can't recommend it highly enough. It would be well worth it at twice the price.

When I had my Sony head unit put into my car, I had them wire the connection cable into the glove box. So today, there is no mess. No cables running all over the dash. My AA Wireless dongie is plugged into the cable in the glove box and I never even think about it.

There is NO sound loss. No disconnects and reconnects. It works perfectly and has since Day 1.

When I get in my car, I do need to make sure my WiFi and Bluetooth are active on my mobile. But as long as they are, it usually takes around 30 seconds to automatically connect and everything is perfect.

If there are disconnect problems, it's probably a weak cell signal problem, not the dongle. Where I live, there is one city with notorious cell tower problems. Whenever I drive through that city, there are connection problems. But I can't make phone calls outside my car either so it is clearly not the dongle. Everywhere else I go, it works perfectly.

I'd rate the AA Wireless dongie with an "A+" grade. I couldn't be happier than I am with mine.

I have mine in 2.4ghz and wrapped in foil, and it significantly reduced interference!...zero disconnects.

I have the same head unit (xav 5500 right?). Waiting for my AA wireless order to arrive any moment now. Little discouraged by the comments on connectivity issues.

Will it definitely work in my MG4 because on the website its not listed as compatible?
