Inclusion will never be possible if the decisions that shape the world are made only by a few, for a few. From having a say in everyday personal choices to being involved in writing laws and policies, people with disabilities demand a seat at the table where the decisions are made. So that everyone’s opinion is heard and the world is finally shaped by all. For all.

I’m deaf and I love this video so much because it shows how people with disabilities such as deafness, people in a wheelchair, people with Down syndrome, little people, people who are blind, and people who has prosthetics being outspoken about how they are treated and what accommodations they need. I am very proud of being deaf and I am very outspoken about how I’m being treated and what accommodations I need such as American Sign Language interpreters. It is definitely time for everyone including people with disabilities to have a say in the places where decisions that affect us are made.

I'm disabled and do advisory work in the disability sector. I have encountered a lot of these exact scenarios in my community, work and life. Nothing about us without us - always. When it comes to disability and accessibility work and decisions must involved disabled leadership, not just consultation. Disabled people are incredibly resourceful, insightful and are the experts.

I absolutely love that the people in the video are speaking so clearly to advocate for themselves and their community. It's worth remembering that sadly many disabled people are not in a situation where they can safely do so. If their relational, community, or societal contexts involve power imbalance and control self-advocacy can be challenging.

It is nothing to do with disabled people. The people who make these productions are just trying to make different people go against each other... They do it with black and white, meat eater and vegan, woman and man, old people and young people, straight and homosexual... etc, etc, etc..
