Exploring loss and memory, a woman connects with her grandmother through old photos and letters

Repositioning grief through the permanence of objects, director Lydia Leiber reflects on our possessions as a bridge between life and death for short film Geist Zeit. Based between New York and Berlin, Leiber illustrates the past through memories carried by personal objects, following a woman’s deepening connection to her grandmother as she engages with her clothes and treasures.
