How to multiply decimals #math

Learn how to multiply decimals. The first thing you do is count how many numbers are to the right of the decimal. Multiply like there is not any decimals. Finally, after multiplying count the number of places you did at step on.

Best to convert them into fractions. It’s less messy.
So 31/2 x 31/100 =961/200 then convert again to get 480.5/100 then use the decimal places to get 4.805

I stack them and multiply that’s easier and I’m learning multiplying decimal this last unit before I become an 8th grader
