Crysis: Prophet uses the suit as a weapon
Crysis 2: Prophet becomes part of the suit. Therefore the weapon as well.
Crysis 3: The suit becomes Prophet.

I love how it ends with him living in the same place you play through on the first level in the first game.

You've gotta love the throwback to Crysis 1, with the same hut on the Lingshan Islands being used for both the first grand reveal of the setting in Crysis 1 and the final reveal of Laurence Barnes (Prophet) in the final moments of Crysis 3. Just amazing. I had to go replay the first level of Crysis to be sure of it but they are indeed the same.

Prophet's body is dead
Alcatraz's body is in the suit and they "absorbed" each other. Meaning that taking off the suit, would result in death. Alcatraz's mind is mostly gone so its locked away, this happened at the end of cry2, afterwards, Prophets mind that was in the suit took over. Now, Prophet's mind is in the suit, which is joined with Alcatraz body, where Alcatraz mind is locked away. Prophet is stuck like this. Theres no way out.

the ending brings back a lot memories. it reminds me of the first time playing Crysis. I remember I switched my suit to Cloak Mode, crouched, opened my binocular, watched the Korean guys peeing, smoking, wandering... and then, the story began.

I remember distinctly! The same spot where, for the first time my jaws dropped on seeing the gorgeous sun rise and the subsequent bleeding edge visuals! The good times.

What a great way to end the trilogy :) It ends where it all started. Perfect and epic. Please let this game be a big seller so they can make a new Crysis and give it the time for development it deserves!

Crysis 3 Epilogue, you can listen to it in the game after you finished it. Just go to extras and there are all tracks. One of the best soundtracks by the way imo.

Just finished this game, such a fantastic ending. My take is the nanites take over his body in the end, as his suit disintegrates while falling from space (it's shown burning). Hence he activates cloak mode without the suit.

Also the voice actor for Prophet/Laurence Barnes - James Vincent Meredith did a superb job, his voice really fits the character Prophet, bravo Crytek and EA,

I have played crysis since it was first released on PC, the second one seemed like it messed things up, but now this third game filled in the holes and they really finished this series off nicely. I dont really want them to do another, I like how it ended here.

I think some people didn't understand what happened about Alcatraz in the 2nd game. Prophet was dying duo to ceph virus, so he replaced his body with a corpse (Alcatraz), but the suit keep his mind and assimilated in the Alcatraz body (in the ending of Crysis 2), and now in the Crysis 3 ending the suit is fully integrated with the corpse and can adquire any form Prophet's like

about half way through the game prophet was told that the nanites in the suit can be turned into anything, anyform he chooses, so pretty much he chose to turn the suit into himself, thats why his cheeks looked so weird in the mirror, it was the nanites in the suit reforming :) hope that helped

The bit when he dies then just comes back to life and says NO! was literally the most inspirational part of my day and i had a motivational speaker come in and talk for 3 hours at school today

By removing the safeties on the suit earlier, the suit can now change into anything. Prophet chose to make the outer layer of the suit appear as if it were him, its still prophet in alcatrazs body

BTW, as you can see Prophet landed into Lingshan Island waters but thats a bit weird since at the end of Crysis 1, the island is completely frozen over due to Ceph activity.
