The GAC Empow was launched in January 2023 alongside the Second-Generation of the GS8 SUV. It is available in three variants with one powerplant standard for all three. The mid-range and range-topping variants get a ton of driver aids, safety features, and interior trim choices.

I’m looking into this as my next car. Test drove it and fell in love. I don’t understand most of the reviewers’ gripe with the tranny. I did not find the tranny jerky or laggy at all. Maybe because I am used to CVT so I felt like this DCT is miles better.
