because hiking, swimming or other outdoor activities with dogs are more dangerous with only a collar because in an emergency situation I’d much rather grab and pull my dog to safety by a harness around their chest and body then a collar around their neck less risk for injury. I understand the premise of harnesses causing a dog to pull more but with basic training it doesn’t matter what you use your dog should behave either way, my opinion harnesses are safer over all.

I’m 11 years old and I do live in Alaska and I do have sled dogs I deliver mail it gets really cold so I have to take stops to eat or get harmed up it takes me 6 hours a day to deliver mail but over all it’s fun to have sled dogs

I have a harness on our Jack tussle in public because he can slip his collar off. He is young and is being trained. But for now we would rather he not get killed. Also I have a harness for training a service dog. It’s safer but these are different harnesses than sled dog harnasses. (Musher here❤)

My dog gets so excited whenever there is another dog around that he will choke himself trying to get to them. Also he’s a husky

I do use a *Harness* for my dog, because she legit *CHOKES* herself if I don’t 💀-
Plus I want to make it comfy for her.

Oof when content creators start creating content based on their opinions usually leads to a destructive path. That’s one of those things you just can’t control but you wish you could, it’s best not to state these things.

To be honest, everyone should be allowed to use a harness or not. I have a sled dog, and use a harness. But he doesn’t sled— or pull things. But he is amazing at listening and walking.

Preparing to train my husky to pull bcs these breed are worker dogs and they love it!!!they have unlimited amount of energy, that why lots of shelter have the huskies.. "some"ppl who owned them dumped on shelter, simply bcs cant give what huskies need, their active lifestyle!

I'm an idiot for buying a harness cause I use it to get my dog to pull me around the desert of mojave. I also use it to pull a pull cart that holds water and few groceries while I hold some heavier groceries on my own pull cart. Sure I could use a car but can't say no to get exercise. Can't afford a gym and the closest gym is an hour away each way. My dog loves pulling the cart. He grabs it and brings it to me without me giving the command. He now has muscles that I'm jealous of him.

If you attempt to walk my Siberian Husky without a harness, using a collar and leash etc., he will pull you down the street like you weigh nothing and will not stop until he wants to. I use a harness bc that is the only way to gain some control when walking him. But, if a Husky wants to, they will pull you like it's nothing anyway
