Spyderco Yojimbo 2 Knife
Designed by noted personal-defense trainer Michael Janich, the Yojimbo 2 is a pioneer in the application of the Wharncliffe blade.

I would’ve thought a knife channel like this would know what a compression lock actually is, because it’s not just a reverse liner lock. Compression locks are stronger and are mechanically similar to the ball bearing lock on the Manix.

Not really a "box cutter" type knife... this thing is made for self defense, all the way, as are any knives Mr. Janich designs (I would assume...). Lots of function in that role. That flat cutting edge is wicked, and can do some serious damage with very little effort.

What is with the new spyderco g-10 models, their handles look like the absolute minimum of rounding work was put into them, my old yojimbo and military has way more round handles and even they feel really awkward to hold sometimes

I hated this blade when I first saw it but it's growing on me.

And it's not meant to be able to do that. The field test would be cutting body with it, like it's made for that.

I wish the BladeHQ reviewer would quite saying a Compression Lock is just a Liner Lock on the spine of the knife. It's not! Significantly different physics going on between a Liner Lock and a Compression Lock!!!
