Is This The World’s Biggest Beer Can Collection?

CANNY Jeff Lebo turned a holiday home into a beer can paradise - worth more than a million pounds.  The obsessive collector has accumulated more than 87,000 beer cans over the course of 40 years. His inn, located in York Haven, Pennsylvania, displays vintage beer cans, antique bottles, porcelain signs and brewery memorabilia on nearly every inch of wall space. Jeff, 53, believes his collection is the largest collection in the world. He said: “It took me about two years to complete Brewhouse Mountain but I say complete in quotations because it’s never really finished - it’s sort of an ongoing labour of love.

I feel bad for the guy if somebody stays there and steals some of the cans. Imagine if they took some that can't be replaced, he's taking a risk there that I'm not sure I would after dedicating so many years to it!

Back in the late '70s, when beer can collecting was big in Ohio (I live in Toledo), Buckeye cone tops were the Holy Grail. I never got one, though, and I will take that to my grave. I remember the beer can collecting magazines, telling how much various cans were worth. Asahi, St. Pauli Girl, Coors (yes, that one), the cans from Pittsburgh with the Steelers on them, Fosters Lager, Black Label ... flat tops were worth a lot then, too. This collection is awesome, truly. Thank you for sharing. Those were good times back in the day.

What I like about his collection is that they are arranged neatly :)

My question is, how do they prevent the cans from being stolen if people stay there for the night? From what I can see you can easily grab any of them

What's actually even better is that his hobby or collection is actually worth something if he ever decides to sell it.

Very Cool. I bet we are about the same age. I still have my beer can collection from my teenage years.
