That is technically a Waldo, not a robot. A Waldo only moves when and as the operator does. A robot can perform without an operator.

There’s a machine already like this. Maybe it’s different but it’s called Da Vinci robot. I was fortunate enough to see a gastric bypass. The machine cauterizes, staples, sews, cuts, and sews.
