Gayle, Love, love, love your videos and your cheerfully delivered explanations. You mentioned that there would be a million suggestions so another will not be a surprise. Here goes…Apply a coating of mod podge to the backside of your strips and allow to dry before weaving. You can still apply dabs of glue to hold your strips together as you weave. When the weave is complete, iron the piece (protect your iron and ironing board with deli paper) and voila….you can cut apart into tags and no further gluing in needed. Thank you for letting me but in. Your fan, Donna.

Lovely tags made from your weaving sheet! I do a bit of a different thing when I do mine. I also usually use a 12x12 paper as the backing and I do glue the top edge as you do, weave the same as you, then glue the outer 3 remaining edges like you, now is the different part. This way may not be faster to all, but I don't do it for a time saver, but it does secure it better and gives added texture, I take it to my sewing machine and run stitches over all the strips, sometimes I mix up the stitching other times I only do straight stitching, sometimes I do like a random crazy type line (circles, spirals, boxes etc) all over and other times I just sew a line down the center of the strips. You can cut these apart now without worrying the center is going to shift and you can still glue the random loose edges on the tags where/if needed. If I had an embroidery machine still I would even add a few flowers or butterfies mixed in with the stitching!
I have also used iron on fusible to put on the back of the 12x12 before you start weaving. Weave your strips on top of the fusible side. After the weaving is done just cover the woven paper with a pressing cloth or parchment paper then iron it down, works great no or little gluing needed. This technique also allows you to weave in some of those shorter 1/2 inch lace pieces for another type look! Just other ideas for you to try or not.
*hugs & prayers* thanks for the daily smiles and inspiration Gayle it is much appreciated! Much love winging its way from Alabama to Montana!

I’m afraid I don’t have any suggestions, but I sure giggled along with you. Fun!

I recently showed my friend the paper weaving video because I made so many from your earlier videos and know to save branding strips. She had to make one (12×12) right away. She used her strips, combined them with mine and created a beautiful weave. Some corners were more yellow with blue, others green, browns and tans. She's loved paperctafting because of your video inspirations.

You know Gayle this morning I woke up terribly depressed. I’m so sick of winter and cold and pain then I saw your video and I thought why not. So l turned it on and started watching and it wasn’t long and you had me laughing with you. You can be hilarious. It’s very infectious. Buy the time you were finished I felt much better. Thank you so much for your humor and joy. I’m grateful for it. Judy O in Oklahoma.💝😂😂😂😂

What an amazing project! At first when I saw this video, I thought… nah, I won’t watch this one… it’s not me. But then I decided to watch it and you brought me out of a several day funk that I have been in due to health issues. Thanks for making me smile and believe that I too could attempt such a project. Life often sucks when struggling with health stuff… but it is always nice to watch your videos and hear your banter about your life and crafting… thank you… Lynda from Alberta, Canada!!!

Thank you for this excellent video ; something different that we have not seen in a long time. The tags are beautiful and I appreciated the audition of the different distress inks. They really change the look of each tag.
