Removing Honey From Beehives with Clearer Boards / Escape Board

In this video I show you how to use clearer boards also known as escape boards.
These are an excellent method of removing honey from your hives without disturbing the bees.
Its an excellent way of emptying the honey supers of bees.

Its fast, efficient and easy on the bees. The only downside of it requires two visits to the Apiary. One in the evening and again the following morning.
But for me this is my favourite way of removing honey supers from honeybees.

Thanks for another great video but today I listened via headphones, I've never appreciated how good your'e intro music is until now. Jazz around 6mins was an unexpected treat.

Thank You Gwenyn Gruffydd. I took a big step forward today and popped in to your shop and bought my first hive. Not got everything yet (including bees) but its a start and I'm really looking forward to start my trip as a bee keeper. Your help and advise was amazing like your videos. Will be back for the rest at some point. The jar of honey I got is tasty as always and cant recommend it enough.

PS Freya enjoyed walking around your shop and would of loved to of stayed longer.

Hi. This year I obtained over 78kg of honey from only one hive. I live in South Yorkshire. Last weekend I removed all supers. Most of the season I had four supers on the standard BS brood. Next year I will have two production hives so probably I will be able to get over 100kg from just two hives.

Great to see a hands on video with the bees, have missed them. Had our hives a year last June so it's our first proper year. Had 92 8oz jars of honey so far, absolutely delighted. Four hives but really only two have produced as one was a swarm the other a split. We were able to brush the bees off. Do you leave any honey supers on through the winter for them? Have you had any issues with was moth storing them the way you do? Thank you

Love the videos thank you. I have 4 colonies, 3 in hives and one in a NUC box. I've taken the capped honey but left them the rest. I've put varoa treatment strips in but should I leave the supers on until they've eaten the rest of the super honey, should I remove queen excluder? They are all new this year 2 colonies which I artificially swarmed.

Just wondering if you have any advice
I have some frames in the supers that are only half capped they have been like this for about three weeks now
Should I leave them longer or can I harvest the honey now and eat the honey quickly
Thanks

I opened my mouth too early (flood plain) stumps are easily removed by mixing enough ammonium nitrate to diesel to make a thick paste then drill some holes in the stump, add the paste anda det and ???? did anyone see a stump? they can fly you know.
