WOW, when they say you get a lot more honey your second year beekeeping they are NOT kidding! In total we have gotten over 160lbs of honey from our bees this year (our second year as beekeepers), AND we were able to leave all 7 colonies a nice honey cap for overwintering. Proud of our bees!!

THANK YOU for your thoughts and prayers for our bees and other farm animals during this Siberian Cold Front!! The front has passed and I believe all the colonies survived it. They have a long winter ahead still as I'm sure their numbers took a pretty major hit. Continued prayers appreciated, we'd really like to get most of the colonies (if not all) through winter!!

I enjoy my coffee and honey by using a Tbsp of honey and no coffee. Tastes great!

You can spin the extractor a bit slower, which would cause less of the wax to fall out and clog the strainer.

This is wonderful! Yesterday, I got bee wax and I am excited to make candles with it. I heard you can also do lip balms with it! Might save some wax to prepare lip balms too! 🤗

I’m hoping to have bees this year… with the wax I like to make lip balm, lotion bars and furniture polish
