In a remote Romanian village, an elderly woman spends her days in solitude. Autumn has brought chill and dampness, forcing her to light the old stove to warm her home. The firewood is stored in the shed, and despite her frailty, she slowly carries it inside in small bundles, carefully arranging it in the fire.

Outside, it is quiet. The air is filled with the soft light of autumn, and the branches of the trees sway gently in the breeze. She prepares her dinner—boiling potatoes, occasionally stirring them in the pot.

The house is filled with the sounds of crackling firewood in the stove and the clink of a spoon against a plate. In this simple ritual lies her day, her autumn, her present life.
