I had 8 RTLSDRs connected to WebSDR and I used band names for the serial numbers (you can use letters too) 160_80m, 60_40m, 20m, 11m, 2m_ham, 70cm_gmrs, 70cm_frs and aprs along with physical labels so antennas matched dongles. The WebSDR is down now but I wish to have it working again in the future... de 9Z4Z

-p helped me rename the Product ID and tell them apart when I was using them in vmware ESXi. Had to use -p because Vmware doesn't display the serial number
