i have a love/hate relationship with coding. I really hate learning new libraries but I'm engaged by the logic behind it. I always learn on and off and thought I was done learning code but recently started researching the market and here I am once again to give coding another shot. There's just so many applications that code has on our world it is really hard to avoid.

Use EMA for day trading rather than SMA. Your bot will be more accurate. Great series!

When i run the strategy analyzer, i am not getting values at all, maybe it is becouse my ninjatrader isnt connected with the market. Can you help please

When I click Run on the Strategy analyzer, my data on the left does not change. I changed to a different Strategy and nothing still changed. I chose the same options as you in the Settings on the right side. I'm not sure why it won't update.

Hey I just followed your tutorial for setting up the basic trading bot. I got my own free connection from following the tutorial on their website; however, i’m encountering some issues when backtesting the code. The only thing that changes my net profit was when I changed the dates. I’m using ES 03-21 since this is much later in the future than your tutorial. I figured it wasn’t a big deal and just chalked it up to having different data, but when I started part 2 my backtesting didn’t show any short trades after copy+pasting your code for part 2. Any idea of where to look for a fix for this problem?

I have my strategies in my trading view. Can I/How can I connected Ninja trader to my trading view where my strategies are already set.

Even this basic coding was very intimidating in that you were very linear, but talking in some code speak I am not familiar with. Still having the skill to think of a path to watch price action is very exciting and I will have to check out VS and Sharp coding basics and watch this a few more times to follow you down this rabbit hole. Need to adjust the video so that the viewer to see what you are typing as you explain. Most of the time is was off the screen at the bottom. Press on! and Thanks.
