Lions deserved the win with more shots on goal than the Demons but man the umpiring was inconsistent as always. I don't mind it being bad - which it often is - but inconsistent and bad isn't a good look.

Are we going to talk about how disinterested the commentators were at the end? A game winning goal from the tightest of angles, under so much pressure, and THAT is the best they could muster up? Pathetic

timeclock issue - when the free kick was awarded at 1 : 18 remaining for deliberate out of bounds, the umpire blew time on but the clock didn't restart. You can hear him blow it at 1:11 but the clock only starts rolling when the ball is sailing through the air at . 1:30 so only 7 seconds were taken off the clock during that whole free kick when it should have been about 25 seconds

my take is that the timekeepers disregarded the umpire blowing time on, and then when mccluggage played on they were just a bit slow to hit the button
