When I found the gloom hands for the first time I got so freaking scared, and was so relieved when I killed it just for Ganon to appear 😭

For those who may still be confused about Gerudo highlands tower; there is a notebook in the camp that mentions a cave. Just find the cave and go downriver, use ascend

For the gleeok, aim and shoot for the eyes which are it’s weak point. If it’s to hard to aim for them and I would know then bring a bunch of bat eyes for homing arrows. You might also want to make a few speed buffs because you will have to run and back away and shoot at the same time in order to not get hit.

Also the easiest gleeok is the fire version which you can find on lake hylia’s bridge. Run from the giant fire balls and for the smaller ones you can pary them which will hit the eyes most of the time.
(Apologies for the spelling errors I’m dyslexic 😅)

Bro I was avoiding the depths and any gloom at all for a chunk of my first play through after seeing gloom hands for the first time because I thought they were WAY more common, and I thought they’d be hiding within the gloom.

Get a lynel bow and keese eyes to quickly bring it down.
When it eventually reaches its final phase try to swatit out of the air with more keese eyes.

If you failed to bring it down in time then you need to dothese 3 things.

-If its ice use racall on an icicle to reach the gleeok.
-If its fire run away from the fir ball and wait for it hit the ground, then Glyde op the updraft to the gleeok.
-If its thunder... good luck using the thunder updrafts to get up there because its hard to evade the lighting.

And last but not least try using the icicle recall method on the king gleeok because its much easier than using the thunder updrafts.

Gleoks are easy AF if you just have a decent weapon, a savage lynel bow and a couple of rocket shields

Even I killed a gleeok. And 90 percent of the time I’m running around with no armor and finding stupid ways to die

Gleeok are just one of those things you have to just run in randomly with a boost of motivation and do. It took a few tries to figure out a good pattern for each one without looking anything up 😅 definitely more challenging than anything else.

Tips for a gleeok, try to find/make yourself an easy ledge to jump on and get bow focus. Shoot all 3 eyes and then run up and use a 2 handed weapon’s stamina attack to hit 2 heads at once, if that’s not possible, just simply try to attack the front of a head. Wash rinse repeat quickly and you can entirely skip the second phase by just knocking it out before it can do anything.

I was scared of gloom hands. As a 15 year ild boy, i was terrified so i ran away from them. But everscince then, i couldn't find it. I agree. The gleeoks are incredibly hard. But i killed the fire one yesterday. I lost half my food and my weapons

I got the game some weeks ago, and I just keep stalling the story progression to try and rack up resouces and get better armor/gear. XD
Currently, my go-to strategy for dealing with Gloom Hands is to just climb somewhere out of their reach, then wait for them to die on their own. No direct engagement necessary.

Just fighting the normal enemies was a drastic change from BOTW to TOTK. All the overworld weapons are decayed and drasticlaly weaker, making traversing the overworld VERY difficult early game.

Basically, to kill a Gleeok, get as many eyeballs as possible, Aerocuda and Octorok eyes will work, get a multishot bow and some very powerful weapons, royal weapons or Gerudo weapons fused with high value items can create some powerful weapons. Also might recommend eating some strength meals and having strength armors.

I believe in you! Take down a Gleeok! Maybe even a King Gleeok?

How to beat a gleeok: get a Lynel bow (x5 is best, but x3 works too), fuse an eye to it, and fire. 2-3 shots should take it down, and then go up and wail on it. When it gets to phase 2, use the weather affect to get up to the gleeok and shoot in same fashion. It drops and takes damage, follow it down and finish it off.
Bonus damage if you are fighting fire/ice gleeok, use opposite element (keese) eye for extra damage. I also often use the thunder helm or zant’s helmet for element avoidance.
Arrow tip: when you enter quick-shot mode, the eye will pulse if it has a target. If it isnt pulsing, exit quick-shot and move closer, rather than wasting arrows and eyeballs

Am I the only one that got lost in the sky islands and got the Master Sword early? I defeated Colgera with it.
