Got one of these ordered. They look really good quality. Currently have a cheap one that I've had for ages but isn't very nice to use and feels very flimsy. Looking forward to it turning up

Quick question do the stabilization bars need to be fully extended also can ladder be put up without extending the bars. reason being I mainly use this type of ladder on staircases tho most steps are the same width some are not which could make this no good.
