WHAT DOES A POSTPARTUM DOULA DO & HOW DO I FIND ONE?

Congrats you're a new parent and you're. . . exhausted and overwhelmed and you'd do anything for a solid stretch of sleep. Cue the lights and in enters. . . .a Postpartum Doula!

While you sleep your baby is fed and soothed and some tasks like baby laundry and cleaning of pump parts is even done for you!

I've been a Postpartum Doula for years and I love helping people gain confidence through those first few weeks and months after their baby (or babies) arrive!

In Chinese culture the doula also helps takes care of the new Mom. Wether that be a massage or just making sure Mom is healthy and not stressed.

Yes my mom was there for me after I had my first baby it's extremely beneficial 🤗❤️

Thank you. Had zero idea what a doula is, or even what a midwife is. Male here, and so many of us sincerely don't know the mentality of giving birth, or what our wife / female partner are feeling.

I so wish I would have had a doula after my 3rd and 4th. My husband is a firefighter/EMT and happened to return to work for a 48 hour literally the day after I delivered so I was alone with my two older boys and for my 4th also my 3rd who was 14 months old lol

God bless you!!unfortunately I do not have many family members who can help me through those first few months that can be so overwhelming. I had postpartum anxiety and depression with my now 5 year old...twins NOW on the way. im SERIOUSLY looking into a postpartum doula- but just a few questions... we are lower-middle class. Do you only work with wealthy families? Does insurance cover this in ANY way? Would a post partum doula help us out BEFORE the birth to help us set up for their arrival? Great job!!
