I think people are missing the point, the Tsaritsa lets her harbingers act as they will. This was Capitano's goal all along, so when he found it was possible to achieve given Mauvika's original plan, he pardoned himself from the responsibility of the Gnosis and the Kind Tsaritsa accepted.

In the end Capitano won in many ways

1. He was a better leader than Mauvika

Althought his strength deteriorated, his absolute resoulte will is what lead him to this goal, a pact that is better than Mauvika's temporary solution. In the end Mauvika admitted that he was the better leader, she was selfless for her nation, but also very guilty and wanted to end the plight in anyway even if for only 200-300 years. Capitano knew that.

2. He got what he sought Death while challenging the Gods.

He got his revenge in an absolute badass way, he challenged renova with her own rulling to create a paradox, he used his curse aganist her and won. He got to rewrite the leylines just as he said "natlan needs new rules" when he entered the stadium in the first cutscene

his immortality got merged with the leylines to write a better future for natlan, AND deliver the souls of his comrade to rest AND rest his own soul too.


Capitano is a true most honorable captain, his will was undoubtedly stronger than Mauvika, they both are probably around the same age but Mauvika has shown clear signs of being mentally tired and almost wanting to give up as she waited and waited.

But for Capitano, he fought in all nations carrying the agonising innocent souls of his people untill he found a nation like Natlan, whose leyline will accept souls in the night kingdom. Then he waited patiently for Mauvika's plan to step in.

I think his fate isnt over like Signora because he became one with the leylines if im not mistaken.

I hope we see more of him in the future, for now im guessing the next harbinger who will come to claim the gnosis is the 3rd columbina to which Mauvika should give willingly irregardless of fatui agenda because of Capitano's ultimate sacrifice and victory.

We'll probably see more of Capitano in the future, especially concerning the Leylines, and in the fight against the Heavenly Principles. We may have a banner with a younger Capitano instead of the walking corpse he is now

We are not going to Snez in 6.0, Snez is 7.0, we're going to Nod-Krai, a sub-region near Snez, the place visual/inspiration is basically Zaun from Arcane, where the main structure is Dottore stronghold, the place is said tobe more of a barren wasteland full of thugs and lawlessness, its not a nation after all, no rules, no authorities.

Basically we're not visiting a nation on 6.0, the entire 6.+ we're preparing for the Endgame and Snez is the beginning of said Endgame, we have been following the fomula of new nation visitor, Natlan is the last of this fomula, therefore its completely different with NodKrai & Snez cuz we're the top wanted the moment we step in the region, much more harsh than how Inazuma treated us when we first arrived there, as expected

It makes sense how Natlan is such a colorful and welcome place for us, its the last of its kind, so enjoy the peace when it still last

Capitano is one of the coolest looking Genshin Characters in total. He looks manly, not a bishonen to attract girls and gehs, and he has a very likeable personality. It is quite a wrong move for Hoyo if they don't make him playable.
