At Olive Garden they have this in their chicken and gnocchi which is a creamy soup that tastes pretty good with some fresh bread or bread sticks!! 10/10 would recommend

It's missing the sauce. Use either pesto, tomato or butter and grated parmesan. Never eat without a sauce of your choosing. All pasta shapes are designed to hold sauce of one type or another. 🙋🏻‍♀️

The last way you pronounced them was correct, in English. Those frozen gnocchi look HORRENDOUS!! Gnocchi, more than most pasta, must be made absolutely FRESH BY HAND THAT DAY! Frozen is just sacrilege. It's no wonder you didn't like them. They don't even resemble real gnocchi.

Go to a truly, high quality, Italian restaurant - which has, for example a James Beard Award, Michelin Star, and/or a Hugely Admirable Reputation for being authentic, producing food from a specific region in Italy, using high quality, seasonal ingredients, etc...despite being, for example, a tiny family owned operation. The latter option is often the best. Find out if and when they serve gnocchi. THEN, you'll discover how you feel about the most pillow soft and light, delectable pasta 🍝 ;)
