"The best camera is the camera you have." Honestly, that's the best advice I've heard so far this year. Start with what you have and improve. Love it! Subscribed.

I LOVE how you always push the quality of content before the quantity of gear. Helps me to refocus on what's most important as an early content creator!

Sean, I don't know if you will see this but I just wanted to say thank you. I started looking to upgrade from my 6 plus about 2 months ago and stumbled upon your channel. I have been watching you ever since for tips and tricks. I didn't want to rush into a purchase. Finally, yesterday, I bought a Canon 80 D. I am so stoked to get started with it very soon. I have you to thank for getting me to the decision. Thanks for the help.

The best tip was: Your own camera is the best youtube camera. You spot on dude. I use my iPhone 6 Plus as my camera & then for audio recording for my YouTube videos. ;)

Thanks for everything. Slowly assembling gear for my channel. Dug out an old sony handycam after my elph160 stopped autofocusing. Canon offered a trade in for like $15 off. was leaning towards the N series until I saw this.
I'll let you know when the brand goes live. For now, you're my sole provider for instruction.

Nice review. It's also nice to see all these small time YouTubers commenting.

Definitely a fan of investing in a camera with a mic input. The improvement in sound quality is night and day and will bring vlog to the next level. Nice work man!

You should consider The Panasonic DMC G7
It does not heat up as people complain about the Sony RX100 IV
4K, great performance in low light
Mic port
Size convenient
The best price for a camera who is better than others at a higher price
Light weight
Viewfinder
Touchscreen
Check out that camera

I loved how you mentioned the expectations are changing. I feel like you can make great content, but if you don't have the lighting, audio, and quality you will be easily overlooked. Thank you for the video, im just starting out!

Honestly, I'd go for the Canon Rebel T5i/Canon 700D over the Canon PowerShot G7X, the 700D is only $50 over the G7X.

I am currently using the canon g7x for all my YouTube content. It's so easy to use on the go or with a tripod, I just use the mic that comes inside the camera and it works for my needs. I will upgrade equipment as my channel and earnings grow. Thanks for the wonderful camera idea options. Love all your content!

I'm currently using the Canon G7X & the Canon T3i, but I am looking to upgrade from the canon T3i to either a Canon 70D, Mark III, & or a Panasonic GH4 for my video production
