This story comes as no surprise to me. As a black man from New York, I'm going to say what some others won't for one reason or another. This mayor was elected by those Democratic power brokers or high-ranking NY Democrats because he was not only a loberal democrat but a black man who could be controlled or be told what to do and during a turbulent time, such as the George Floyd incident and COVID. He picked up where DeBlasio left off in many respects, in my opinion.
