I have both of them too
But my problem with Scribd -
1) They block books for you if you listen fast especially sequels of your current reads
2) I cannot increase my speed more than 2.0×

I used to be a speed reader. But now... I just take my time.... I love the character voices that some of the books have in Scribd. the narrator takes his time and I love it!

Thx! I have never heard of Scribd before. I just signed up with your link. I have been spending around $50 per month on Audible. If it works out I will probably have both accounts too. I am hoping to save some money but still fulfilled my enjoyment. Thank you again.

Great review of both short, to the point, and informative. I just did the 30 day free trial, I wish i would have see your referral link for Scribd. Thank you!

Nicely done 👌. But at 8.99 Scribd offers you so many magazines for free. If we subscribe the magazines separately, they would cost us at least 10 to 20$ per month.
And I think that deserves more of a mention coz it's amazing.

I tried audible and kindle unlimited but audible was expensive and dint use kindle unlimited so much. Then I discovered Scribd, I'm a huge audiobook reader and my mother tongue is spanish, the audio library in spanish is so good and also has great spanish authors in the book section. Also I'm a classic piano student at the conservatory and It's great to have sheet music from scribd in my ipad. For now I find much more value in Scribd, I hope they polish a little the apps thou but it's great for me.

Scribd is not “unlimited” they have a false advertisement.

the 30 second lag is due to a error in scribd servers. i reported it to scribd and got one month free premium. they said they are working on it!

I haven't try both of them yet, but Scribd sound interesting. It's cheap, and you could listen and read just with one subscription, no need to purchase the book

This make sense
I do love audible have had it for about four years but I found scrib and it's cheaper
I do believe that both do have a place and cater to different people needs through

I'm currently susbcribed to the free trial of Scribd and I'm loving it so far. I think for me the price is the deal breaker.

I have both too. Scribd doesn't have many books as Audible. Scribd is cheaper and honestly I don't want to keep my books with Audible (I wish I could just borrow or trade).

Out of curiosity for your argument to have audible and scribd would it not be better to just have audible and then get anything else through your library?

For me I don't listen to tons of new stuff I end up re listening to things I like a lot (I do the same with movies, tv shows and video games). So I have a slowly growing kinda small collection of books most of which I have listened to 2-3 times and some as much as 10.
But I think if I wanted to just get some new stuff to listen to but not care to own then I'd probably check the library first.

About half of my books are newer fairly popular authors and the audiobooks cost anywhere from $30 to $70 so generally I really like audibles system and 9 times out of 10 after finishing a book I start a book i've heard before rather than a new one even though I have about 7 unread books on my tbr that are already in my library. So for me audible basically fills me needs perfectly

Hi Sarah, do you get to keep all the books read in Scribd after cancelling subscription like in audible you keep all books after cancelling?

Tried 60 days link in scribd but it showed error with all the three cards tried.
Will try again later to check if was some technical glitch

I've been trying to return a book from Audible for a very long time and I have not succeeded.
