I love having physical paper for things, and print a lot. Despite being in the age class of millennial, I haven't gotten all the way used to using a screen for note taking, editing and the like. Kinda old fashioned but that's what works for me! I do love your tip on making the dot at the line, it would for sure help when going through and making the changes. Great job once again Jon Acuff!

I love having a wireless printer in the house. Works most of the time. Changes my life almost daily.

Editing on hard copy is definitely needed, I never catch things on the screen.

Love the dot idea! I already print out to edit because I notice mistakes better that way but love the dot for being able to easily find the changes!

Yes!! I do this. (Not the dot) I will try the dot. My manuscript is printed and in a binder, it feels so real. I go back in and edit as soon as I find my errors. Haven’t had the nerve to sharpie them up yet.

I've worked in journalism and public relations for nearly 20 years, and have always, always made edits on paper, all while using old-school proofreading marks (including stet). I like your dot approach though, it seems organized :)

Great insights, thanks Jon. I'm writing an ebook and this will be helpful.

Love the simplicity! Do you ever go back and realize you have forgotten what the dot was for, though?
