Ibn Khaldun Pioneer of Social Sciences

Ibn Khaldun, a 14th-century scholar from Tunis, is celebrated for his foundational contributions to history, sociology, and economics. His seminal work, the Muqaddimah, introduces key concepts such as social cohesion and the cyclical nature of civilisations. He recognised the labour theory of value and examined the socio-economic impacts of taxation. His insights, drawn from practical experiences, have influenced both Islamic and European thought, making him a pivotal figure in social sciences.
