This Nurses Week, NurseJournal is celebrating EVERYTHING that nurses are, while examining the remarkable breadth and depth of the profession. As a nurse, I found myself on the other side of patient care due to a recent hospitalization. I don't flaunt my RN status when I'm the one in the bed, but I have to say, the nurses who took care of me were incredible. It made me even prouder to be part of the profession. Funny enough, during my stay, an old nursing school buddy was on duty and spotted me while moving a patient to my unit. God bless all of your nurses out there! You guys are the glue in the medical field

Ha ha. HCA corporation -- $53 BILLION company, 235, 000 employees. HCA hospital in SAN ANTONIO, TX--Nurses got ZERO, ZIP, NADA, no recognition for National Nurses Week. We used to get a free cup of coffee in the cafeteria, but they took that away a few years ago.
