Rapidly spreading fungus already in 28 states, including Illinois, presents ‘urgent’ threat, CDC war

A fungus that poses “an urgent antimicrobial resistance threat,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has already been detected in more than half of U.S. states.

Candida auris, or C. auris, is so concerning because it is often resistant to anti-fungal drugs, making it hard to treat infections. It can also be hard to identify with standard lab tests, making it even more difficult to treat properly and early.

I swear to god, we were all born to late to explore the world too early to explore the galaxy and born just in time for this shit

It sounds terrible...it gets in the blood and then is untreatable. I hope the long term care type facilities are ready to address this threat. America is like a Petri dish of death and I am getting slightly disgusted with all this.

Hey get it right. The game actually has the fungus transferable through spores in the air. The HBO show removed this since they didn't want the actors wearing masks, like in the game. So as long as your not bite by an old lady at the nursing home, you're fine. Right?🤔🙄

You mean, just like all living organisms, this is adapting, improving, and getting like covid, the flu, and the common cold ???
And then you state that there is something to clear it

Hmmm. I wonder if this is because LED light bulbs do not emit infrared light, therefore certain fungi thrive...

If a healthy person gets the fungus…how long does it live in its host? Can it’s healthy host then spread it to their senior parents? How does it spread..through touch, breathing in the spores…how?
