The Department of Molecular and Human Genetics embodies five decades of organized genetics activity at Baylor College of Medicine. Our mission is to transform medicine with the practice and science of genetics. The department integrates basic and translational research in genetics and genomics; clinical study of rare and common diseases; the practice of prenatal, pediatric, and adult medical genetics; and cutting edge genetic diagnostic services.
