***My Welders***
HTP Welding Machines are some of the best I've used. They aren't the cheapest, but they may be the best value considering the quality, performance and customer service you get:

Nice tip about drilling that hole in a combination square and then putting there your plasma cutter nozzle while dragging the combination square along the edge of the sheet metal plate.
I also liked the design of the side cable hangers and the way the chain used to hold the 2 gas bottles was added onto the cart

I recently purchased a new larger MIG machine to supplement my entry level unit and my first project is fabbing a new welding cart. After watching both of your vids on the topic, I'm shamelessly copying pretty much your complete design which I think is nearly prefect. Thanks for sharing!!!!

That is a great welding cart. It has given me heaps of ideas for my own build when I get time.

hello there, I am currently going to school for welding. I just finished my first year and I'm going to become second year in a couple of months!

nice welding trolley tim the only thing i would add is a piece of upright tube on the front that is telescopic with a 45 degree fork on the end of it for hanging your mig torch/tig torch on instead of leaving it on the weld table or lap over the welder having it telescopic is good for if you are sitting welding or standing welding cheers from down under

I have been training myself how to weld the last year or so, and I finally decided I want to make a proper welding cart. I wasn’t expecting this video to be so educational about various tools and the techniques… very well done, thank you !

Nice cart! You must have really enjoyed seeing your plans come to life. Only change I’d suggest is a pull handle higher than a few inches above the knee—a vertical pull handle welded to a front corner would permit free access to the welder’s panel.

I bought the 30 in. x 16 in. Two Shelf Steel Service Cart from Harbor Freight for my small stick welder & plasma cutter but the machine cables came out lower than the shelves’ 3” high walls. I welded a table to go on the top shelf. The machines rest on the table, bringing the controls and displays to chest level. For each side, I welded basic cable tamers to the top edges of the table.
The cart, with a shelf added above the bottom one, holds everything for stick welding, including angle grinders, PPE and consumables. One day I’ll attach a flip up table to a welding cart, if not this one.

Tim, you do nice work I have build a few welding carts and one thing I learned ( The Hard Way ) when it comes to wheels the bigger they are the easier it rolls with a heavy bottles and the cart would fall over ( another painful lesson ) my point it"s never a bad thing to go big on wheels

Very nice, super clean build. I particularly like the circular flats you put on the cable hooks.

Turned out nice! Now I can start on one!

Nicely done, Tim. Learned a lot from watching you weld the different pieces - how you held the lance and positioned yourself for different angles etc... great video!

What a great cart and example to build myself and a joy for the eyes. Loved to watch it. Many thanx and greetz from Holland, Marcel Knippers😀

Very nice, Tim. It’s interesting on how all of our welding cart needs differ. I made mine for my welder and plasma cutter on the top, side by side, with a cabinet below and the two cylinders at the back as you did.

Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. Unfortunately, life got in the way for some time.

As a boilermaker I'm think this dude is such a nerd with his welding jacket, the full length gauntlets and the fixture tabe.

BUT you create such good work so I can't even be mad 😂

Nice one
I bought an off the shelf welding cart just as a stop gap till I build one
( it’s terrible lol but does the job)

This is given me the motivation to get mine done

Very nice! I like the "hooks" for hanging hose/wire. Also, thanks for the tip on going too slow, creating dross with a plasma torch. I just purchased an inexpensive one from Vevor and will be cutting the frame on my Jeep then adding the replacement "caps" so the frame will be strong again. Less dross makes life easier. Jeep frames have become notorious for rusting out due to salt on the roads in Northern states.
