Really really really good tutorial! I'm swithcing to my first self managaed VPS from shared hosting and really wanted to go nginx after always using Apache (since that's what you get with most shared hosting). I needed a testing server on my Windows PC, been searcing around for a couple days and got nginx up and running, but stuck on adding the fast-cgi. Everything you went through I had already found, but it wasn't clicking with me. Followed along with your video and it worked PERFECTLY. I am now running pure Nginx and PHP-FPM. thank you!
