Excellent idea! Although i need one that extends at least 60" from house to edge of flowerbed, across front walkway onto lawn. My flooded Florida flowerbeds await the longer version! Also, (& maybe i should have asked this question 1st), can it handle the torrential rains of Florida? Lastly, as one commenter mentioned, $60 each isn't cheap if this works well, but what about quantity discounts?

I like this device, but I'm concerned about high winds, which are common where I live. The Autospout looks like it could act like a scoop, catching the wind and blowing to the down position. Have you tested it for these conditions? Thanks.

This only will do what you need it to do IF the downspout is leaking. Any other issues with water running down the walls of your home and settling in the cinderblocks will still leak. But if you have a leaking downspout this thing is pretty genius. I do wonder what it will do in snow and freezing rain / ice though.

Great idea!! I started researching after having a nagging wife bitchin and bitchin about the rain gutters... I don't like to have them down cuz it kills my grass .. I spent too much time and money on my lawn to have a dead patch because of a downspout
